How do you know when your mosquito bite has arrived?
That’s what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking as part of a campaign to help those who have recently been bitten by a mosquito.
The campaign is part of the CDC’s efforts to identify the most common symptoms of mosquito bites in order to help inform the public about the risk and prevent the spread of disease.
According to CDC data, around the country around half of all people bitten by mosquitoes in the U.S. are unaware that they have been bitten.
The CDC says people who have had mosquitoes bitten should seek medical attention immediately and should use a mosquito repellent if at all possible.
It also recommends wearing long pants and gloves, and using an insecticide spray.
