Montreal Canadiens have recalled goalie Antoine Bibeau from AHL team Montreal Canadiens

Montreal, Quebec — The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that they have recalled goaltender Antoine Poussaint from the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters.

Bibeau was recalled to Montreal after suffering a concussion in Friday night’s 6-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

The Canadiens also assigned goaltender Ben Smith to the Monsters, where he’s currently sitting in the AHL.

The 25-year-old Poussesaint had a 3-0 shutout streak and a 2.48 goals-against average in 13 games for the Monsters.

He has a 2-3-0 record in 10 games for Lake Erie.

Bibeau will join the Canadiens for the team’s next game Saturday when they host the St. Louis Blues.
